The Founding of Nirban Dham
Nirban Dham was founded in 1975 when Gurudev Shankar Baba first arrived in this sacred land. The name "Nirban Dham" means "The Abode of Eternal Peace."
Gurudev was guided by a divine vision to create a sanctuary where seekers could find inner peace and spiritual growth. With just a few followers and immense faith, the ashram began as a small hut in the forest.
Over the years, what started as a humble beginning has grown into a spiritual haven that welcomes thousands of devotees from around the world.
